Palace gardens are works of art

The parks and gardens maintained by the Prussian Palaces and Gardens Foundation Berlin-Brandenburg (SPSG) are unique garden creations and valuable natural spaces in the Berlin-Brandenburg capital region. Please help us maintain and preserve these gardens so that future generations can enjoy them as well!

Exhibition in Sanssouci Park, 27 April to 31 October 2024

The human-made climate change concerns the UNESCO World Heritage Site Sanssouci Park in Potsdam, too. Extreme heat, intense sunlight and continuous periods of dryness are causing problems for the vegetation. In the open-air exhibition, problems are pointed out directly on site and attention is drawn to damage, but approaches, strategies and progress in dealing with the effects of climate change are also presented. Topics such as water, tree life and tree death are dealt with at 30 exhibition stations. Visitors can learn about a new generation of trees in the “oak nursery” and experience alternative and water-saving irrigation methods in action. The exhibition is accompanied by a varied programme of events.

Spring is here!

Spring has arrived in our parks and gardens: a festival of colours and scents that transforms every corner into a blooming oasis. The enchanting grounds in delicate green and bright colours now invite you to explore and linger again.
