The Babelsberg Park invites visitors with its fascinating history and breathtaking views. Situated on the picturesque banks of the Havel River, the park offers spectacular vistas of the Glienicke Bridge and Glienicke Palace Gardens. Commissioned in 1833 by Prince Wilhelm and Augusta, the park was designed by the renowned landscape architects Peter Joseph Lenné and Prince Hermann von Pückler-Muskau. The neo-Gothic castle complex is surrounded by magnificently adorned garden terraces, while the Pleasureground, with its ornamental shrubs, flower gardens, and water features, completes the harmonious scene. Located in the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage Site, the park has been maintained as a historic garden since the 1960s, and after the fall of the Berlin Wall, the northern waterfront area was also restored.
