Park Rules for the New Garden and the Pfingstberg

Welcome! The New Garden and the Pfingstberg are a world-renowned garden ensemble. Please help us to preserve the park as a place of culture and recreation! The park is accessible to visitors from 8:00 am until dusk. Entering the park is at one’s own risk.

For the protection of the garden monuments and for the peaceful coexistence of all visitors with one another, it is not permitted:

  • to drive or park motor vehicles within the park without a special permit
  • to ride, push or park bicycles off the paths specifically marked for bicycling
  • to leave the paths
  • to take or remove plants or clippings of them, or to otherwise damage them
  • to litter or to leave behind trash of any kind
  • to use the lawns outside of the marked recreation areas
  • to camp, to light a fire or to barbecue
  • to climb on architectural structures, elements of garden ensembles or sculptures
  • to listen to audible music or to play live music
  • to swim outside of the designated area in the lake called Heiliger See
  • • to fish, use a boat or to operate model boats
  • to play ball or other sports games
  • to ride a horse or to use inline skates, skateboards, etc.
  • to ride sleds, to ski or to go on the ice of frozen bodies of water
  • to set up advertising boards, posters or signs
  • to place or distribute flyers, advertising brochures or other printed materials
  • to conduct trade or commerce
  • to hold demonstrations

We ask you to walk dogs on a short leash and to immediately pick up after your dog.

Commercial guided tours of the park that are not organised by the Foundation require the prior written consent of the Foundation.

Photo, film and television shoots with additional technology and/or personnel (e.g. model shoots, advertising shoots, film and television shoots for feature films, series, documentaries, music videos and cinema productions) are subject to authorisation.

Please note: The ascent of model aircraft and unmanned aerial systems is prohibited.

Caution! None of the fountains contain drinking water!

Park guards and employees are gladly available to answer any questions.

The Stiftung Preußische Schlösser und Gärten Berlin-Brandenburg’s (Prussian Palaces and Gardens Foundation) official ordinance with regard to preventing dangers posed to the architectural and garden assets under its care also applies to this park. Noncompliance and offences may be punished as a breach of regulations (a misdemeanor).
