A different view

Artemisia Gentileschi at the New Palace

The route to the Upper Gallery, which contains two paintings by Artemisia Gentileschi as well as works by Guido Reni and Luca Giordano, leads past numerous depictions in which painters place the female body at the centre. At seven stations, questions draw attention to the special gaze on which the artists based their pictures.
