Group Offers Rheinsberg House

To the info page of the venue

As crown prince, Frederick the Great spent the happiest time of his life at Rheinsberg, where he created a court of muses from 1736–40. After Frederick ascended the throne, his brother Prince Henry of Prussia took over the house and park, carrying on the tradition of the court of muses in a grand style. A tradition of music, opera and theater has been continued at the house by the Musikakademie and the Kammeroper Schloss Rheinsberg up through the present day. Picturesquely located on a lake called the Grienericksee, and surrounded by one of the most beautiful landscape gardens in Germany, Rheinsberg is one of the most attractive trip destinations in Brandenburg. Numerous works of art adorn the house interiors, inviting visitors on a journey into the era of the 18th century. The original interior decoration from the Frederician period (c. 1740), as well as the early classical room settings created under Prince Henry (c. 1786), could be regained through extensive restoration work. Combined together with the paintings and works of decorative arts on display, they provide impressions of the styles of décor, the attitudes towards life and the collecting activities of the former owners. The Kurt Tucholsky Literaturmuseum also resides in the house.

Important information regarding your booking

We offer a fixed group price that depends on a maximum number of participants. This price includes entry to the respective palace for the group as well as, depending on availability, a personal guided tour, an audio guide tour, or the use of an app via a personal technical device (e.g., smartphone).

If the number of participants exceeds the maximum limit for the program, the group will be divided. Each subgroup will be allocated a specific entry time, and the group price will be calculated accordingly per subgroup. For some palaces, an additional fee is offered for the second entry time slot, up to a certain number of persons. This fee cannot be booked separately.

There is no minimum number of participants for a group booking. Programs can be offered in various languages, including personal tours in German and English, as well as the use of audio guides and tours in the SANSSOUCI app with additional language versions. Further information about the tours and language versions can be found in the current group price list.

If groups are accompanied by a licensed tour guide from the SPSG, a 10% discount is granted on the group package price. This discount does not apply to group bookings with an audio guide. Special openings for groups are possible upon request outside the regular opening hours of the palaces. The price for a special opening consists of the group price, a special opening fee, and, if applicable, additional personnel costs.

All information is subject to availability and changes. Group prices are only valid in conjunction with the General Terms and Conditions for Groups of the Prussian Palaces and Gardens Foundation Berlin-Brandenburg. All prices mentioned are exempt from VAT according to § 4 No. 20a UStG.

Important notice for school and youth groups

The group rate for students applies uniformly to school and youth groups, including vocational schools and universities, up to the age of 27. It is necessary for the booker to indicate in writing during the booking process that it concerns a school or youth group. Furthermore, written confirmation must be provided that the age restriction will be adhered to. A maximum number of participants, including teachers and chaperones, applies to school and youth groups. If this number is exceeded, the class will be divided into two groups.
