Group Offers Glienicke Palace & Park
Romantically located on the Havel River, Glienicke Palace appears like an Italian country villa. Designed by Karl Friedrich Schinkel for Prince Carl, Glienicke lets the visitor experience the beauty of Neoclassical architecture set in an exceptional park landscape that was created by Peter Joseph Lenné. The preserved palace interiors are fascinating, often decorated in strong colors, such as the Red Hall and the library in deep blue. The Court Gardener’s Museum is integrated into the tour of the palace. Although they are located on the Berlin side of the Havel, Glienicke Palace and Park are part of the Potsdam ensemble of palaces and gardens that belong to the UNESCO World Heritage. The park offers the visitor numerous viewing axes, for instance to the Church of the Savior in Sacrow and to Peacock Island.
