The Stiftung Preußische Schlösser und Gärten Berlin-Brandenburg (SPSG) is responsible for preserving the cultural assets entrusted to it in consideration of historical, artistic, horticultural, and conservation concerns. Supplementing the SPSG collections and increasing their accessibility to the public are also key objectives.
The SPSG inventory comprises 33 museum palaces, some 800 hectares of landmark park grounds, 100,000 individual works of art, 150 monuments, and 300 building structures – outstanding examples from 400 years of German cultural history, with much of it is listed as part of the UNESCO World Heritage. In many cases there is an urgent need for support from the private sector.
We would like to thank the many funding agencies, sponsors and private patrons who have actively supported and committed themselves to the Prussian palaces and gardens in myriad ways in recent years. We hope that you, too, will continue to help us in our efforts to preserve and share our mutual World Cultural Heritage.
