Support the preservation of our park grounds
|
For more than four centuries the best artists of their times created an outstanding ensemble of palaces and garden complexes on behalf of the Brandenburg-Prussian rulers. In 1990 these unique cultural landscapes in Potsdam and Berlin were admitted to the UNESCO World Heritage List. Annually, approximately five million visitors enjoy the spacious park grounds with their fascinating landscaped architecture, numerous sculptures and fountains.
This cultural heritage can only be permanently preserved with your support. Therefore, we ask you to contribute to the preservation of the historical garden landscapes through a voluntary park admission. After mid-March 2006 - initially in Sanssouci Park and in Charlottenburg Park - you may acquire a day pass (2 Euros) or an annual pass (12 Euros). The park admission is voluntary and supports the maintenance of the gardens and the continued work of our gardeners.
As a token of our appreciation, you will receive one of our high-quality collector's cards, which have changing motifs.

Specific projects intended to preserve the gardens are going to be financed through voluntary park admissions. In 2006 these will include the bridge at the Chinese Teahouse in Sanssouci Park and several park benches in Charlottenburg Park.
